Lower PASS values can be adopted for large‑format printing. Operators shall set PASS counts for different substrates based on practical experience.
Properties of substrates including transparency, glossiness and smoothness will affect final print results, leading to lighter or darker output. Apart from visual deviation, some substrates absorb UV ink while others cause ink dissolution. For instance, printing on standard acrylic only requires 80% ink density; excessive ink will result in overly dark images.
